I tried pasting the embed code with no luck and I saw in a forum posting, mention of an available plugin that works but was unable to find the site to get this plugin and it looks like wordpress won't allow the addition of plugins anyways, for security reasons.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Doug
They do a Firefox plug-in which lets you post videos from vimeo directly to your blog. It works really nicely.
[vimeo vimeo.com/173714]
or
[vimeo 173714]
they are displayed as text. Can the theme cause this ?
it will not work either way...
danielll.wordpress.com/2008/05/27/3-days-on-tour-without-kebap-%e2%80%93-nl3-2008-video-pictures/
[vimeo vimeo.com/173714]
or
[vimeo 173714]
run perfect!
I just had to make sure when I was entering the code that I was in HTML mode (the tab is beside the "Add Media" options and the "Visual" tab when you write an entry.) Then I wrote [vimeo vimeo.com/145325] but replaced the numbers with the ID number of my own video (found in the URL bar when you are viewing your video). I hit "Save" or "Publish" while still in HTML mode and it worked!
Cheers!
How do we actually fix this?
Add video
[vimeo=vimeo.com/2208194]
Using Firefox:
click the code botton
or enter in the edit box.
then [vimeo id] where the id is the NUMBER of the vimeo video link.
then click code again.
You will get something like:
[vimeo 2073923]
Good luck
Is there a way that I can automatically get the download URL of a video if I know the videos ID?
Thanks
