Also take into account that I change the resolution to widescreen in iMovie..

Nikon Coolpix 4500
Panasonic DVX100a
Panasonic Lumix LX2
and the guy who said his GL has warmer colors than the VX series is wrong and a bad person, a VX1000 will destroy a GL2 any day, in any situation. also cheeper.
vx vs gl
Good - HD or SD on a SD card, very small, poor low-light performance
Bad - 45 minute battery life and no external charger
I videos I posted are from the Aipken Go-HD
Canon EOS ELAN II E 35mm SLR Film camera

...i prefer vegas but also sometimes use premiere and final cut...
...just kidding.
Panasonic DVX100B
Sony EX-1, Canon XH-A1, Canon HV-20, Canon HV-10. Though I love all of my children, The Sony wins hands-down. The HV-20 wins hands-down for sub-$1000. The HV-10 wins for tiny tiny tiny HD. The XH was awesome but I grew weary of DV tape breaks/errors and sold it to the paper I worked for. They went under. it got auctioned off cheap, apparently... But I walked with their lavs so all is good.
Still:
Nikon D200 x2
Canon Powershot G9
Editing:
MacPro (8x2.8ghz with 8GB ram)
MacBook Pro (C2D 2.33 with 3GB ram)
Final Cut Studio 2
It's all I have, but the quality really isn't all that bad.

RODE Stereo Vid Mic / Beachtek DXA-2S
Canon 400D for Stills
PPC G5, MacBk & MacBook Pro
iMovie HD, Final Cut Studio & Aperture
ProTools / Logic / Soundtrack
Most of the videos I have up here at the moment are just ‘mp4’ files straight off the camera at Super High Quality setting. The files which are edited were done in iMovie ‘08. :)
I love it! The Photo function and Anti Shake are the most impressive features.
For photographs a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18, great thing, the lens is just soo beautiful (And the dof - aaaah!)
For editing a mac mini 1,6 dual core, with a 22" lcd.
All I need to make beautiful things (hopefully)
Other cameras I own:
Sony HVR-V1U (2)
Canon HV20 (1)
Soon to purchase several more EX1s. Now that Adobe Premiere supports XDCam EX totally, it is liberating. Instant shoot to edit and no more dropouts, a/v sync issues, etc. And the sound.. with a good external mic, the EX1 produces near studio-grade sound.

tho lots of canon users like to get into the HDV codec discussion over it! ;)

Dell Mobile Workstation for capture, 2 Dell workstations for edit, grade, and compression
Sony Vegas/Soundforge for editing and audio
I don't see alot of people on here using them but I am happy with my results vimeo.com/alanduff/videos for now :)
NOTE it does not record in HD, I just encode my videos that way :)
