..seconded... would be great if Vimeo videos would work in Google Reader. I miss that feature very much.

They do work in Google Reader, it look as though the code gets screwed up from embedding them in another service and trying to read the videos from that feed.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this - are you saying that it's Feedburner that's messing up the videos?

I have this same problem - videos in my posts show up fine, but in my feedburner feed, they're missing.

I disabled feedburner, and even my normal out-of-the-box wordpress Atom feed fails to show the vimeo video. Is there anything we can do to get video to show up in wordpress feeds?

I agree- Google Reader does not display my Vimeo videos from my feed (via feedburner). However, videos hosted from other sites display fine. The primary difference I can see is these other sites use of the embed tag in addition to the object tag

I embed vimeo videos and they don't show up either. I use movable type. BUT, when I do almost any other service youtube, brightcove, dailymotion, .... they show up.

If I subscribe to an RSS feed of a particular TAG or my videos from Vimeo.com, the videos show up fine in google reader

However if I use the embed code of one of my videos and embed it into my (self hosted) wordpress blog, the video embed is not passed on to the RSS feed. Youtube and many other video site embeds show up.

Not sure if it's a wordpress problem or if it's a vimeo problem? Kind of annoying, I just have to remember to put a link to the video in the post and call out to RSS readers to click on the link to see the video.

I suspect it's a wordpress (software) issue, I think their RSS feed parser / creator doesn't properly create the feed in a way that reader understand the video should be embedded.

we're looking into making our embed code more browser compliant (albeit less standards compliant). we hope the situation will improve with the rss readers once we make these changes.

Are tag feeds working? Doesn't look like they are, right now.

    For example:
    feed://www.vimeo.com/tag:art/rss
