I have uploaded a new version of a video to "replace" the original (I've actually uploaded the new version twice) but it is still showing the old version. Here is what I did.
1) Went to vimeo.com/824772 where my video is stored that I want to replace. I clicked the "edit video".
2) I clicked replace.
3) Selected the new version from my hard drive and let it upload.
4) It said successfully uploaded after about an hour and when I watched it, it was still the old version.
I did this twice. No success.
I considered that maybe it was because the new video was converting in the background - but it seems that by now it should be fine.
If a moderator really wants to help me (and hey, I know you do :) ). You can do the replacementy for me. I currently have the "new" version uploaded seperately, but I have it set as private so no one can see it:

If you can replace video 824772 with 855548 - that would be a BIG help to me - since I have to pay for my uploads, and I've been at this for a few hours already.
