• I upload 2 videos to vimeo today. The first was an avi file of 1440x1080. Of course is not full screen.

I read some tutorials about how to render a video for vimeo hd, and i render a new version with wmv and 1280x720 25fps but is not full screen either, what does it happen?

The quality of the 2 videos in my computer are very high, but the two vimeo version is a bit bad.

The problem in your newest video is the aspect ratio. If you follow the tutorials exactly, they should come up fine.

I'm confused about HD treatment of my videos too.

In the HD FAQ vimeo says, "all you have to do is upload a clip that’s 1280×720 resolution or better".

    So I uploaded a video with 1280x960. No HD-treatment.
Then I uploaded the same video, same conversion parameters, with 1280x720 (of course distorted, but it doesn't matter for testing) - and it worked in HD.

(Visual Hub on Mac OS X, MP4 h.264, and in both cases same parameters, just dimension different).

What is the problem? Isn't like it should be?

    Thanks, Jakob

That video would have get the HD treatment too. It's just that you stumbled on an occasional vimeo bug that sometimes the HD version doesn't get encoded.
