Anybody seen the new NV24HD? Looks like it is made for shooting for Vimeo... 720p h.264

This looks good, but I would still go with this new Panasonic 720/30p 10MP digicam, the FX500: engadget.com/2008/04/18/video-hands-on-panasonics-dmc-fx500-with-3-inch-touchscreen-an/

While its video is crisp and better than any I've seen in a digicam, it only records in MJPEG format, which is grossly inefficient at 25mbps. Still, the FX500 is a better buy IMHO.

Hmm... MJPEG is better if you are going to do any editing. But you need some seriously big cards.

I bet we'll see some samples on Vimeo soon enough.

Yes, you need 12 GBs for 1 hour of footage. It's exactly the same as in HDV (e.g. HV20). Also indeed, MJPEG is easier to edit. Still though, 720/30p AVCHD at 10 mbps would not be bad.
