I know the idea of adding paid services has been thrown around and I gave my two... er... forty cents about the idea and the fact that I'd definitely be into it if they didn't sacrifice features for the free folk but I wanted to make it even clearer that this is honestly the first video hosting website I've actually wanted to post any of my work on (haven't yet though, leave me alone!) and I really do hope that Vimeo is able to maintain the quality atmosphere and goal of this site and if it comes to a point where I need to pay for that privilege, I say where's my debit card, bring it on!
Not to be any cheesier, but I'd be proud to use Vimeo as the sole host for my short films and would be glad to help keep Vimeo from turning into a Youtube, Myspace festival of nothingness, even if it means shelling out a few bucks a month (or a chunk per year).
Thanks for having a website that's NOT a landfill... ie filled with garbage.
