I've tried doing all of the above and still no luck :-(

Also tried another few videos with different formatting and compression and they all freeze after a few KB when using all the different uploaders using IE and Firefox!
Oh, and I can view videos on Vimeo, found some pretty cool ones!

Any other suggestions?

My page is vimeo.com/amt. I have uploaded 17 videos that I can see and play on my page. Users that are logged in can only see two videos. Users that are not logged in can not see anything.

I've tried uploading several different videos with different compression settings and always gets to 99% upload then freezes.

Been trying to upload same video for 2 days, going back and forth trying diff compression rates, I don't want to settle for a crappy mpeg4 compression when I know I can get better, upload keeps freezing, sometimes its at 15% sometimes its a 4, it varies

Tried to replace video twice but it doesn't show up. Goes upto 99%. When I click on the image - it says "Sorry, this video no longer exists". However, the Dowloads section at the bottom right shows the new video resolution and size.

uploaded an HD M4V clip 2 days ago. Received an error...gave up, and then it showed up a a day later.

Now new M4v clip is hung on 1 minute..please help. Client anxious.

Since my first post I've now tried uploading videos using the super fast university internet! It gets slightly further, up to 3% but still freezes, seems to be a time dependent freeze???

The uploader still freezes for me.

It took five attempts to load my first video ... the file was almost 500 meg of HD content and would freeze at any point during the uploading process - its a long process too with your server upload speed around 60 kbps and I have a very fast broadband setup.
Anyway, after many hours of trying I found that messing with the video info section whilst loading created a greater chance of freeze up.

Hope this helps narrow the problem.

I'm getting an error message thing I've never seen before

It hangs up at 99%. When I click on the image, it says "Video no longer exists". Similar to the problem I had a few days back.

It uploaded fine, got to 100%, but it has said it is in the encoder queue with "1 minute" left, and has been locked there for about 55 minutes as of this post.

Why is uploading so slow it never used to be like this. Could there be some type of surge in new users putting a strain on the system. Might be time for an overhaul. I always wondered to my self how can vimeo offer so much. Looks like it might be reaching its threshold.

I downloaded my first video to Vimeo Web site, and I am not happy with the quality at all. I didn't upload a lot of stuff to the internet, yet, and I read some tips in Vimeo's help pages, but it seems that I did something wrong, and didn't encode in the right way, as the quality of my video here is horrible.
I would first appreciate any help for a way to delete this version, as I want to upload it again, in a better quality, and also tips about
right file size( Does Vimeo encoder takes a lot more of the quality? Would It be better to encode a bigger Video file size, and then the loss in quality will be smaller?

Is it the fact that I sent 6.5 minutes video, that makes the problem?

Ive uploaded 9 videos but my friends can only see 6 of them.

I didn't mean to sound like a jerk I just love this site so much and i don't want to see it go down the hole.

I am having nothing but problems uploading video. In firefox it instantly goes to 99% and stays a while and goes to 100%, but never really works.

Under IE, it goes normal 1%, 2%, and so on but hangs anywhere from 7% to 30%, I got one video up, but I cannot get an HD video up to save my life, even only a 21MB exported with the ideal Vimeo settings, help!!

my problem is that it will upload (albeit slowly) to a certain point. sometimes 4%, sometimes 15%, this morning it finally went to 25% but a little window incessantly pops up saying "do you want to navigate away from this page? click ok to leave or cancel to stay".. this will pop up when im not even AT the computer... and no matter what i click, it pretty much stops uploading and freezes.

I selected multiple files to upload, about 13, it has taken about 5/6 hours and now only the first file shows, but my weekly upload quota is reduced by the amount of the 13/14 files. What's gone wrong?

haven't uploaded in a few weeks and sent through a large file today. upload seemed to work but had a problem during conversion. now says for me to wait a couple of hours when it will automatically retry the conversion - that message has been up for a long time. suggestions?

ive been trying to upload this video for the past 2 days now and it keeps freezing somewhere around 20 percent. ive updated the flash player and it is still freezing! any ideas?

has the linking of flickr photos to any video, been paused,
due to the recent problems? its just, that i tried to add some photos to a video, they show up, in the settings upload page, but not on the video page, that the users see. other than that, i love vimeo.

Desperate for help! I urgently need this for tomorrow!

I have tried uploading .mov files from PowerPoint that will play in Quicktime on my machine. The most important of these is: vimeo.com/1001958

The upload completes successfully, but for some reason the videos won't play. No thumbnail shows, and on the video's main page, the screen is just colored lines.

Ok. this is getting really anoying. I have a 144mb HD video wich takes ages to upload because its going at 6kbs up. While my connection can do 60. So after 6 hours if was 100% but it wouldnt load the conversion page. So I tried again and another 6 hours gone. I get this link

Hi, I've been trying to upload a HD MP4 file and it starts uploading, but always locks up at 18 to 25 percent. I've update Flash to the current version and this is still occurring. Please help...

I have followed all of the troubleshooting recommendations (Installed new FLASH ect.) Every time
it uploads successfully and I try to few the video, it says that it has failed. Need the video up for a job application by tomorrow, please help me Blake!

Still having a major problem. Ive tried uploading over 6 times now and I still get the same "Upload Failed" response every time I try and view the video. It uploads successfully, but fails when I try and watch it???

After few minutes, always in 25% uploading is stopped.

Hi, I uploaded a file 2 hours ago. It said 'sucessful' then went to the converting video screen with estimated time of 1 minute. That hasn't changed in 2 hours. I have the correct settings, latest flash etc. Do i need to upload again or just wait it out? vimeo.com/1013604 Thanks!
