I've had a look at my cpu useage while watching HD footage here on vimeo.

my cpu is an intel core2duo e6400, it's an average c2d processor for desktops from last year (if you would buy it now it would be a low end c2d)
    ram 2GB
    windows xp pro sp2

hd footage runs fine in windowed mode, cpu useage 30~35% no problem at all

then i click on the fullscreen button, cpu useage jumps to 95~100%, massive stuttering happening.
about 5-10 seconds later, the automatic quality control engages :

cpu useage down to 45~50%, no stuttering. I can clearly see it's still the HD file being read but the upscaling filter quality is reduced (overall quality is still way better than the SD version)

The problem : vimeo doesn't remember it needs to switch to the low quality upscaling filter, every time i open any hd video in fullsceen i get the 5-10 seconds stutter.

    Here is my request :
I'd like vimeo to remember the upscaling quality setting,
and instead of having a "scaling" on/off button, change it to a 3-way "scaling quality" high/low/off.

i think this would allow more people to enjoy HD on vimeo
(and bring back the 30p feature)
