    What's the format/specs that vids on Vimeo get converted to? The tutorials give certain specs that they suggest as the type of file that you upload, but obviously something else gets done to them. I assume the specs they give are those that come out looking the best when Vimeo is done with them?

    Is it possible to convert to "Vimeo format" before uploading, the way you're able to create .flv files that meet certain parameters that don't get re-encoded on YouTube, though many people don't know this.

    Btw, not in any way saying YouTube is better. Quite the contrary, I've been telling people about Vimeo ever since I discovered it about a week ago. Don't know how you can afford to run a free site with far higher bitrate quality than what YouTube allows when Google says they're losing money on YouTube as it is. I don't see a "donate to Vimeo" link so I assume you aren't even soliciting contributions.
