whats the difference between plays and referrers statistics? in the Vimeo General Discussion Forum

I'm curious to know more detail about how plays are counted (what if the same pc plays the video twice, what if they stop half way thru) vs. how "referrers" are counted since many of them seem to be counted multiple times from the same pages, e.g. myspace.

Please give more details on both if you will

referrers are every time your video loads while embedded. Plays are every time someone hits play.
