    Will this be permanent?
    That there's no HD on embedded videos?

    Or is there some way I can enable HD on my embedded videos?

    Otherwise this will alienate a huge crowd from people making WoW movies -_-

    No HD on embed, costs extra money and doesn't pay up with ads.

    Don't you make up for that with the traffic you'll get from people seeing that you can get HD stream on your website?

    And couldnt you simply have something like... option for 5 secs of advertisement before the start of the movie if it's embedded with HD enabled~ or any other creative solution.

    Many people here are video artists. Vimeo is not about random video users, mostly. And artists wouldn't like ads.

    No, because there are many more viewers than video creators. And the bandwidth differential doesn't cover that.

    sorry we can't provide too much details about the progress of this project beyond what's already revealed on our roadmaps page. it will be soon when it's ready but probably not a day sooner.
