    Hi,

I just bought a canon HV30. I want to capture the HDV footage onto my computer. I've been using HDVsplit and I ended up with m2t files which is expected. But I'm editing on Premiere Pro 2.0 and premiere doesn't take those files. Is there a workaround on this so that premiere can take these mpeg files? I'm shooting on 24P. The project is also set at 1080 24p. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you shot in 24p, you first need to remove pulldown and THEN tell Premiere to use a 24p project. You see, Canon's PF24 is not true 24p until you remove pulldown.

So basically you follow the tutorial here, and the AVI files that are created after you remove pulldown are editable as 24p on Premiere: eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/07/13/canon-hv20-24p-pulldown/

For other Premiere problems with the HV30 you will have a better luck asking here: hv20.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19
