    Groups are going to be so great, but it's almost like it needs one extra to browse/explore beyond searching for keywords, looking at activity and seeing which group is newest.

    For instance I really like the main 'Explore' page some implementation of this for groups might start people joining more groups instead of not finding one and starting their own group. So there's all these one person groups floating around...

    Great site though. You guys made internet video your bitch.

    if the directory page bundled groups into 'related groups' then it'd be even better. It's overwhelming going thru 'all groups'

    we have a plan to aggregate groups, channels and videos around themes but it's still in its early stage. in the mean time we would encourage people to tag their groups so they can show up on "similar groups" module on group home pages. we also plan to offer similar functionality in the group directory page in the future once we have gathered enough data to make it interesting and useful.

    I'd love to search groups and channels by how many members or subscribers they had. It would make it easier to sort through groups and channels to find some of the popular ones that already have somewhat of a community.

    Basically I feel this should exist in the Explore section. Currently I don't feel it works that way.

    That's great. Thanks. Why doesn't that view popup first when I select explore groups. That would be really helpful. Even though its only one click away, I really feel the activity as homepage model doesn't work in every circumstance and could use some splitting up between activity and the sortable pages like you linked to. I tend to feel that vimeo can do most everything, but it's not always where you expect it to be.

    Comments out of context don't really drive me to click and find new things. It seems to be the backbone of your model though, but I wish it could be shared with some useability from other video based sites. youtube does some things really well like subscriptions.

    the purpose of the group home page is to market the idea of what groups are, show the level of activity that exists in groups, and to feature recent and interesting groups. the directory page exist for those, like yourself, who wishes to browse/search for something of particular individual interest. we are comfortable with this approach.
