It's difficult to found something short who isn't a commercial. So If you're not afraid of working with something bit longer (10 min), I maybe have found something.
    Check this : archive.org/details/OntheAir1937
Or a short ad (I'm not sure, it seems to recent to me, but that's the best ad I found until now) : archive.org/details/sharp_calculator

    I'm waiting for your comment.

Look, I know I'm gonna sound completely stupid by asking this, but could someone please provide me with instructions on how to download and begin editing this video?

Here's the deal. I see "Download" on the left of the screen, but when I click on one of the many options (MPEG2, MPEG4), all it does is show the video. I've tried downloading it from the FTP server, too. No luck.

If it matters, I am using a Mac G4 that is running OS X (Version 10.4.7). I am sure I have the latest version of Quicktime and plan on editing it using iMovie6.

    Please help!

In WinXP Firefox, right click the link of your choice MPEG1/2/etc.
Save Link As and put it somewhere on your hard drive.
Do the same thing only MACify it.

Yeah, great idea !! I've seen one and it could really be fun. (The home movies are less interesting, I think) I've seen one (chateau de dé). For me, the problem is the duration. It's long and I think fun comes from the fact we have in certain moments the same pictures.
So maaybe we shoould, could cut or something like this a film (very difficult to do).

edit : Long except le retour a la raison (do you have sound ?).
edit 2 : This men, wow !! How can he do that in 1923 !!

I've seen all now and I think It could be difficult with the Home Movies and I don't really like L'etoile de Mer. The others are fine for me.
    Have you any wish ?

So, here is the thing :
    dl-1.free.fr/52616e646f6d4956d6267d1a030b8ee00e7 b66555dd95d89b41172f8ae620f71/ca_bbc_televisionanniversary_284.mpeg
    (Thank you Baywhale)
The link will be functionnable only 22 hours. After (if nobody download it), I must give another link.
There is always a small problem. There is no sound. So fi it's a limitation, I'll try to find something else. (I will use this one for my own pleasure).
