Mete Cantekin

I was born in Bornova, Izmir. After graduating Ataturk High School, Izmir, I left my undergraduation studies in the aviation and business administration faculties. Then, I graduated from the department of Decoration Design in Akdeniz University Serik Vocational School in 2005. Under the supervision of Savaş Camgöz, chief decorator in State Opera and Ballet, and Sedef Altun, Ass. Prof. in Akdeniz University, I conducted my internships in 11th and 12th Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, and in Antalya Studios. Within these experiences, I prepared an internship file based upon my observations and shootings in these places. I participated with a project called as Lyre Theatre in the activity organized by Izmir Municipality in I. Kordon Gündoğdu Arena in 22 June 2001 because of World Music Day. I have made various contributions in Theatre Society in Ege University as a student up to 2001 (Görüşmeler, Huis Clos, Metamorphosis), afterwards as an old member. Also, in Folk Dancing Society in Anadolu University, Eskişehir, I was a student of Saadettin Sönmezoğlu, who is one the choreographers of State Folk Dances. I am a fan of Izmirspor.
