Wannabe blogger and videographer. I'm on a year off, traveling, writing screenplays, and shooting short films and little travel videos to advance my skills as a cameraman, editor and director.

Looking for people and projects to inspire me and keep me working toward something bigger and better.

My new philosophy is shoot, edit and post rather than self censorship and self hate. Nothing that I'm too proud of yet, but with time, I'd love to have something great. In the mean time, I'm just happy sharing little snippets of things from the road.

Are you getting horizontal line artifacts running up the image. I'm thinking of buying an EX1 but I'm worried it may exhibit a similar problem I had with my HV20 due to the CMOS technology. They're hard to see, but I keep thinking I see less noticeable amounts of this in EX1 footage. Hopefully, it's just my display and the vimeo HD flash re-compression. This is what I'm talking about in the HV20. The author of the footage confirmed its in her original footage. vimeo.com/774692 digital ripples in the footage of the woman in orange at 2.12 - 2.22 and at 3.12 with the kids sliding down the handrail. The creator confirmed it's in the source material when I messaged her. I also see lots of footage with even more of this problem, but figured two specific instances were easier to talk about.
