Sixteen Tons: A Narrative in Stickers


Sixteen Tons was a project I recently completed, utilizing stickering/graffiti to tell a narrative. Using the lyrics from Tennessee Ernie Fords' song of the same name, I wanted to draw a connection between coal mining days past and the deep ties Lansing (and greater Michigan) have to the auto industry.

Fillossaphee


Music video for the first single from Gruf's 2005 album "Hopeless".

Created by shooting roughly 2300 35mm still photographs on a number of analog SLR camera. The director of photography was the great Jon Schledewitz.
