A photoblogger gone video...
I'm a bit of a loner but I'm not shy, so here's a bit about myself...
Born Oct. 20th, 1972 in Odense, Denmark, (I still live and work here). I have a 'Bachelor of Arts' (BA) degree in English & German Business Language and finished one year of a (two year) master's degree in Multimedia design, production & technology.
I work for a very dynamic and expanding company called Mikrofyn - mikrofyn.com who produce "laser levelling and alignment equipment for the construction and agricultural industries". I make assembly manuals for the 'girls' in our production and I'm also the IT guy. :)
I'm a laid back, introverted kinda' guy with a passion for jazzy electronica and tech related stuff. I enjoy my solitude at home with my PC :) However, I do try to 'get out' every now and then and when I travel, I choose my destinations carefully. I hate laying on the beach but love going places that are 'less traveled' or just 'different'. I'm not trying to be odd, that's just how I am :)
I rode my bicycle from Denmark to Expo92 in Sevilla, Spain (through England and France 1992). I've seen most of the USA (au-pair 1994), been to Japan (1995), USA (again in 1997), Moscow, Russia & beyond (2001) and just returned from Vancouver / Vancouver Island, Canada (april 2008). I hope to travel more in the future. However, I still have to finish seeing Denmark first - being the huge patriot that I am :)
More to follow...
Gear I use:
Camcorder:
Canon HG10 (AVCHD HDD HD camcorder)
Kenko 0.5x wideangle (very wide but also quit unsharp at the edges)
Lomography super wide fisheye adapter (a fisheye purchased for my Holga medium format camera)
Cokin P filters (used for digital photography and camcorder)
Tiffen Steadicam Merlin (the handheld 'tripod' for moving shots)
Velbon Ultra Luxi L (tripod - small but fast and great)
Letus35 mini (should arrive late May 2008) :)
Digital photography: (with the Letus35 - this will go on the HG10 as well)
Canon EOS 30D (8MP SLR camera)
Holga 120 CFN (medium format plastic toy film camera)
EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM (my all-round lens)
EF 50mm f/1.8 II (great for shallow DOF and low light)
Lensbaby 2.0 (a fun little lens)
Lots of accessories...
