Flower Power 5x5 Sanyo Xacti HD1000


Today I did some close ups on my balkony flowers. Unfortunatly it was very cloudy, but I'm still amazed by the macro results of this camera.

Yeah, I know, I have to work on holding the camera still :).

Macro setting, rest auto, uv-filter

Rerendered in MP4 6 mbps. I'm testing some different mbps settings. The original file had a little bit over 50 MB. Eventhough I added a soundtrack to it it has now only half of the original size and the result is still very good. So for the web, this is a good render setting.

At least I think so.

5 x 5 Vignette No. 2 (HD)


My second 5x5. This time I went out with the Xacti HD1A specifically to shoot clips for 5x5 use.

Using the Sima Chestpod with Sanyo Xacti HD1A


A demonstration of how I use the Sima Chestpod as a stabilizer with the Xacti HD1A. I hold it in what I call the "pulldown" position. I also added weights to the bottom shaft which allows the pod to be used like a glidecam. Most of the clip is made up of actual test shots using the pod the first time I went out with it. Enjoy the scenery!

    • Great idea for a channel. I am very proud of my HD700 as the quality of the videos I shot yesterday during the festival surpasses by far even some pro TV crew cameras. Now I'm just waiting for the Phoenix M-Power lens to arrive in the mail.
