Why Serve?

“Service” is a word used frequently in our society. Many want “service” but few are willing to provide “service.” In the New Testament book of Acts, “love” defined the New Testament Church. “See how they loved one another,” it was said of early Christians. Today, with all the confusion about what “love” is and does, “service” can be a distinguishing and defining hallmark of God’s people. Our Lord Jesus exemplifies “service” and “love”. He came not “to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.”(Matthew 20:28)
