This is my first test with Hyper engine AV a free-ware mac editor.....using footage I shot whilst travelling on the bus...I found it to be quicker, more intuitive and ultimately a more creative tool than Imovie...its not perfect, but I can now at least superimpose video shots over each other, which can be seen in random bits of passing vehicle editing i played with. The audio is layered up over and over again, which again was easy and quick to do. I like it and will test it out further..... any other users?

20 months ago my step father Steve had a mountaineering accident, which left him paralysed and in need of major rehabilitation. Six months ago he learnt with my help to ride a bike, let alone walk or talk. Helping him transfer his passion for barren harsh environments and technical climbing / mountaineering to cycling, through said harshness, has been both a privilege and an amazing story of fortitude and courage..... it does help him being belligerent as hell, but quite simply put all who meet him and hear the story and then see us cycle off are amazed.. This is the first part of, what little I managed to film of our trip, as we went around we got the photographic gear out and did our best to record the landscape as well. hopefully the subsequent films will give you a taste of the islands, our trip and our work. Everything has been shot with my N95 phone both on and off the bike...8gb is enough for a trip apparently..

After a very enjoyable, day of drinking cycling and meeting new peeps wid me new woman Nancy, we encountered this.. Being community minded and nosey we had to do something....but there was no water any where, apart from inside me......you get the drift. Charlie and i have just finished partying and working, were having fun intoxicated on velocipedes, In fact Charlie has already fallen off......didn't get that on film... I thought you all might like to see, our drunk progress and I was curious to see how the N95 would cope with dark and movement.... Had to down grade the quality to get to a size to upload, but you get the drift as it were... Took ages to think of a track to back the visuals, slowly I thought of Signur ros' Glosoli. I like its progression and pace and I think it fits my shaky one handed filmin...especially the resounding conclusion which yes I re edited to make fit the film. Hope you like!

charlie and I work on photographic projects together mostly twisted sometimes beautiful, but mostly wrong...we like wrongness www.imageri.com/wrongness So he calls me says get down here ( Bath ) were doing a shoot in the town centre...... " its art innit ".......I arrive to find the mania in full swing..'.I'm making a robot army...I'm making a robot army ' is his constant refrain. I get me phone out and try to record between guffaws the factory of robot production art in full swing. Will post the final shot, later as i don't have it to hand right now.... As a foot note the robots stared in another role later that week as an alien invasion army repleat with spaceship. One of charlies friends woke up on his birthday morning to find the robots invading his front lawn.....now that was a piece of film I wished I could have got... Watch this space for more of our antics, the pace will increase in the new year......the plans are numerous and devestatingly cool...' Robots ....march !'

We went to Brighton Museum tosee the current Fashion and Style exhibition and to sse the rest of the museum. It's a brilliant collection, displayed with a certain amount of style and flair. we were lokoing for inspiration fro our upcoming exhibition and we found it in spades. Jeff tried several times to get all his pals together to create his ultimate birthday treat. A full on cricket game, well finaly we managed to persuade the weather, upwards of twenty people and a lawn mower to all be at the same place at the same time to make it all happen....marvel as we prepare for the best twenty / twenty match to be held in a Bristol municipal park....EVER...... Wonder at why we mow our own crease ( because if your going to do it, do it right ) and curse, at even more of my hand held mobile phone filming antics....don't worry the match was filmed, I might even show you, me being cruely run out. ...will follow up with more footage when I get it alright....now wheres my maiden I need to bowl her over....lets hope I don't slip in the gulley.......

Well another trip and another excuse to get better at imovie...this was again largely made up of in camera edits, or miss edits hence all the swinging away from shots....idiot!!..oh well, can only get better. If your near the museum go and see it, you will not be dissapointed, it really is an amazing collection of artifacts and for once you have to do a lot of the work yourself to understand them. Its fascinating to see where and how civilisation developed. Best of all there are the draws under the display casses, full of yet more to be discovered objects. Curators are all over the place and will help you understand and interpert, they also love to show the hidden and hard to find stuff. all in all a fantasic if unerving day out. combined with the natural history museum and the botanical gardens all the family can be satisfied. the site is full of photographs and essays as well as panoramic images so you can visit virtually. music: Nightmares on wax- Les Nuits : DJ Sticky (3D60 ) - Cloud and Ground

Sue and I went to Brighton for a workshop, we had fun despite the rain and all enveloping gloom...this is the height of summer..belive it or not, we end with a staple of british life..Fish and Chips..the cafe is in fact the cafe used in Quadrifinia (bad spalling I know)...a spot of shopping revealed the mod connection still strong, sharp red pin stripe suits rock. Another in the Truth in advertsing line. Green tea has changed my life...I no longer get dehydrated, have a constant source of community tea...they all share it, very refreshing and satisfying..I use the tea bag very lightly, its strong stuff, personally I don't go for the bitter tip much prefer light and fruity.. still very strong even after the minimal dunk and its good for you no caffine, no tannin you can drink it when you like. No one payed me for this...what damm I sung and everything, not a bean .....okay I'm doing this for the love it ....what no cash whatso ever....?.....I know the song sounds like Duff mans song oh yhea!!!! and its ACE innit oh yhea

Haverleigh carnival in devon we all gather to party hardy and put on the best fireworks show we can, this is the morning after wanderring around looking for parts of brain left out with glider ( cider ) this is all in camera editted and is was a scream to make, we are really trashed having not slept and still drinking to beat the hangover crash quickly approaching..stupidity and recklessness come hand inn hand with tiredness and substance delusions.
