    In the coming weeks we will be releasing an in-depth set of guidlines for uploading videos. For now, if you have any questions regarding what is, or is not commercial, please ask youself this question. Is the intent of this video actively selling a product? If it is, then it is not allowed. If you are simply showing off your work as a video creator, than that is acceptable.

    If the intent of the video is commercial in nature, then it is not allowed on Vimeo. If you are merely showing off your work, than that is okay.

    Thanks for the comments Matt. We are actively working on a very thurough and in-depth upload guidlines which will address these points. Vimeo Plus may offer commercial features, we are still discussing these possibilities. Cheers.

    per my response above - 'As long as the content is not commercial in intent (actively selling a product) then you are welcome to upload commercials you have made to Vimeo. We just don't allow companies like Nike to upload commercials that are trying to sell a product."
