Jan van der Meer

Jan van der Meer loves moviemaking and all there comes to it. He loves inspiring others and to enjoy filming, helping them in producing better movies. Opened an educational centre: Global-DVC in 1986. (Global-DVC.nl) based in Zandvoort (Amsterdam Beach) in Holland. Jan also started the first DV site for videographers on the web in 1996 (Global-DVC.Org). Jan informs inspires and educates many videographers and DVC members with his articles, his movies and educational courses. He is a gadget freak, testing new camera's and accessories for 'one-man-band' operators aka videoproducers / cameramen / camjo's . He loves the HD quality on Vimeo and producing wildlife documentaries and travelling. For the past 15 years Jan and his co-producer wife Lidy exchange the depressing Dutch winters for the Sun in South Africa (and Namibia, Kenia), in exchange for accom. making photoshoots for American Express travel brochures, producing YouTube clips for Hotels, organizing Video Safari Tours and teaching at Wildlife filmacademy in Cape Town etc. You're most welcome to visit his centre in Holland or as a Facebookfriend.
