  4 or 5 midi tracks in ableton, one for patch/program changes. one for foregrounds, another for backgrounds, again for effects etc. for this recording I used just the oxygen 8 v2, scrolling through and selecting midi clips with the rotaries and triggering variations of effects via the keys.
  
  all sending midi via IAC, not rewire as said above.(I just used the word to describe the routing process)
