  I think this is looking pretty sweet, Adam. I realize there's more to be done but I'm imagining the final piece with the camera shake and the sound effects and I'm digging it. The shot shown in the thumbnail looks a little weird with the way the ground blends in but I'm sure you have a fix for that.
  
  Do you think it's possible to zoom more into his phone from this shot or maybe cut to a shot of his phone maybe with a message that says "Out of Service" or something?

  I think the team did a great job on this film - looks top-notch and I enjoyed many aspects of the piece. I did feel like there was a lot of buildup and the film probably could have been half the length for a much more streamlined short but it was still nice to watch. Thanks for sharing.

  Yeah, I used AE to do this. The background was matted out using the colorama effect in grayscale mode as a luma matte. I used pretty straightforward effects to color correct (levels, tint) and the snow itself was done in 3D Studio Max because I don't currently have a good particle renderer for AE.

  I really dig this piece. Stylistically I think it could have gone in a billion +1 directions but conceptually its fun and rewarding. The message is elementary but universal and positive - one thing you don't see too much anymore.
