Thanks Makoto! WOW, that is some high praise for my work. I'm so pleased you enjoy the video. No, I do not have Magic Bullet looks. This is all pretty much straight out of the camera, but I have tweeked the camera settings to get the look I like. The Letus tends to "warm up" some of the colors just by adding it too. My other video called "After the Thaw" has more Color correction applied, but mostly just boosting the colors a bit. Even that CC was done in FCP using just their 3 way color corrector.

Good luck with your Letus! Let me know when you have something posted that you have shot with it.

I'm not familiar with the Beastie Boys song, and I've tried to forget about "thriller", yet the two together are...well...cool! I must say you've done a masterful job of synching it all up and editing the old Thiller clips to the beat, you'd swear it was shot for this mix!

    Nice job!

I find the seceret to good smooth pans and tilts is WEIGHT!!! I had a hard time panning my V1 smoothly, then I added a Letus Extreme, some rails and with the cam up to 17 lbs, (I have a mid level Bogen head) the smooths are like BUTTER! In the back of DV magazine (or maybe one of the others?) is a device for adding silver weights to the tripod head on a bent beam. So it may not just be me!

    Nice vid BTW!! Carry on!!!

Excellent Philip! What clip is from your friends wedding? I was looking for it, but couldn't figure which it is!

To be honest, I did a de-interlace pass but once I uploaded I see that for whatever reason it didn't take. It will be interlaced for TV, not everything should be de-interlaced for broadcast! It was shot interlaced for this reason.

I shot it for about 20 minutes and sped it up to 3000 percent in post. Thanks for the nice comments!

I hope to do another one soon.
