I started working in broadcasting as a broadcast engineer in 1969. Over the years I have dabbled in ham radio, television and radio.

I use the JVC GZ HD 7 Video Camcorder with 60 gig hard drive.

I use Sennheiser Shot Gun and wireless audio microphones plugged into the external microphone input of the JVC GZ HD 7 camcorder. I also have a lot of other audio equipment to use on location projects.

I have a Smith Victor portable light kit for remote work.

I use Sony Vegas 7.0 nonlinear editing software for my productions.

I have 5 computers. Three Dell P4 desktops, 1 Dell M600 laptop, and recently I purchased an inexpensive HP dual core AMD running Windows Vista that does an OK job with 1080 i video.

I also shoot still photography with the Nikon D200 Digital still camera.

I have 12 projects streaming at Google Video. Some of my video projects can be seen at lisakassner.com

See my Website please lcflisa.com for my bio and other information.

I wish you the best of shooting for your video projects.

Kindest and sincerest warm regards,

Amazing video. I am impressed with the file conversion quality to be able to play here at Vimeo.com.

    I am struggling converting 1920 x 1080i MP2 to Quicktime Version.

    A very nice piece!

    Kaushik,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write me. This was a critical video test shoot to see how the camera would do in bright light in full automatic gain mode (AGC).

I have worked in television broadcasting for almost 40 years. If i were doing a commercial project, I think I would go into the field with a better video monitor, waveform monitor and vector scope. (maybe even a more expensive professional camera too!) It is hard to see the little LCD on board monitor in full bright light.

I did also post a new flower video yesterday here at Vimeo, and this too has some video clipping in various places. I commend you on your fine eye for details.

I have not shot video in the field in the manual mode yet with this camcorder as the automatics seem to do a pretty good job. I agree the video is clipped on the high white peaks in places. Overall the video automatics seem to be working pretty well. I will be making recordings in the manual mode as I become more familiar the intricacies of the camcorder.

I shot another video project inside Descanso Gardens on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 using full AGC (Automatic Gain Control) there were some overexposed shots there as well and I did re-shoot those scenes that were over exposed.

You are the first person to write me about technical issues regarding the JVC GZ HD7. How special to have a new friend to compare ideas with.

I will take a closer look at your video links over the weekend. The new Vimeo player seems choke and stall here on all the high def video I watch this morning. I am on short time this morning as I have appointments to keep. We shall continue this dialog. Perhaps we can move our conversation to voice chat at Google Talk?

I do not have a wide angle lens for this camcorder yet. I also shoot digital still images and you can see some of my photos here picasaweb.google.com/lcflisa

Again Kaushik, it is my pleasure to meet you here at Vimeo.com.

    Kindest and sincerest warm regards,

A lot of hard work... Vimeo just keeps getting better and better! I thought Dorothy might have returned to Oz at the end of the piece.

    KUDOS to you!
