Ross Waters commented on DOF Test Shots with Canon HV30
The DOF is just in the AP you use. I shot at F2.4 and got these results. I have thought about the letus lens but I see it kinda has a soft focas effect to it. HD is all about having a sharp image and in good light anyone can achieve this by shooting in AP mode and shooting at a low F-stop number. Also for more effect zoom a little and this will cause your back grounds to be more out of focas making it look more like 35mm motion pictures.
