      I often ask myself that question, not able to find a specific answer.

      Maybe it is all just addressed on impulse. Dreams, memories or mundane things my mind takes out of their immediate visual context. All that somehow becomes art once shot or edited.

      Some days what I experience triggers a certain emotion (elation, usually) that if I don't look for footage, sounds or pictures to assemble later... I feel like I'll come out of my skin.

      Video just happens to masterfully cradle auditive and visual elements that allow me to recreate emotions or environments I become part of in my non-waking hours.

      It's perhaps a way to be dreaming all the time.
