  if you mean the size of your board, well, just try out different decks, and pick the one you feel most comfortable with. Wider decks tend to be more stable, narrow decks flip faster. the best way to start is on the street with protection. No, i'm not a douchebag going safety first, but i'll guarantee you, you will fall. Just get a bit the hang of just rolling. Once past the first stage, skate with friends, no better way to improve your skating. There are trick tips on the net (also vids) to get you started. But you'll have to practice a lot, but that's okay, 'cause skateboarding is a blast. Oh, look out for security guards and/or cops (of course).
