"This is the Awakening In Taos Trailer: The Mabel Dodge Luhan Story. It is a 1 hour+ biographical documentary about a woman who was 100 years ahead of her time. Mabel was a writer, salon hostess, art patron and social activist who moved from Greenwich Village to Taos, New Mexico in 1917. She married Tony Lujan, a Tiwa Indian from Taos Pueblo and she brought modernist artists and writers to the early Taos Art Colony. Some of her notable guests include Georgia O'Keeffe, Ansel Adams, D.H. Lawrence, Aldous Huxley, Frank Waters, Martha Graham, Leopold Stowkoski, Thornton Wilder and many luminaries of her day."
