Minutes before her arrest, Lakota grandmother and Owe Aku Director, Debra White Plume addresses those gathered in Washington DC on September 2, 2011.


The direct action was part of efforts to encourage the Obama administration to sign an executive order to halt the Trans Canadian pipeline and tar sands oil mining. Over 166 people were arrested.
