ABOUT THE VIDEO

Rehoboam was a 41-year-old spoiled brat when he became king after his father’s death. He met with the northern tribes and refused their request for leniency because he wanted to continue his luxurious lifestyle. The kingdom was subsequently rent in two. Rehoboam remained king over the tribes of Judah and Benjamin while Jeroboam was chosen to represent the nine northern tribes.

It did not take long for Jeroboam to set up two golden calves to entice the people from traveling to the temple at Jerusalem. When confronted by a prophet, the new king tried to have the man arrested and God withered his hand. Jeroboam quickly figured out that it was futile to oppose the man of God but he continued to live wickedly until he died 22 years later.

The men of Israel were bent on sinning at the altars of demon gods and their decision to embrace Lucifer would cause them to be scattered in the future among the heathen nations.
